What I'm still most confused is the use of "MP4" as a name of a codec. I've been looking into it more ( this and this article helped a lot), so let me check if I get it now. I'm still confused by "AVCHD" and "MP4" being used the same way, even though they sound like fundamentally different things to me. Unfortunately, it doesn't help me with reading the spec sheet.
